Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

The short version: this website does not follow you around the internet. There are no cookies, no advertising and no tracking pixels, and nothing here is sold or shared with anyone. One tool counts visits, and it is described below.

What this website collects

Nothing directly. There are no forms on this site, no login, no comment section and no mailing list signup.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs so pages can be delivered and protected from attacks. Those logs record things like IP addresses, which pages were requested and what kind of browser was used. That information is not connected to you by name, and it is never used for marketing.

There are no cookies on this site, which is why you are not being asked to dismiss a cookie banner. The fonts are served from this site rather than from a font company’s servers, so simply reading a page does not tell a font company that you were here.

Counting visits

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. It is worth saying plainly what that does and does not do. It does not use cookies. It does not fingerprint your device, follow you to other websites, or build a profile of you, and the numbers it produces are totals rather than anything tied to a person. I use it to know whether the site is doing its job, and for nothing else.

What this website is not

This website is not a confidential or secure channel. Email, text messages and voicemail are not encrypted in a way that is appropriate for health information.

Please do not send details about symptoms, diagnoses, medications or your clinical history by email, text or voicemail. If you are already a client, use the secure messaging in the client portal instead. If you are in crisis, use the emergency numbers at the bottom of every page rather than email.

The booking buttons on the schedule page take you to Headway and to Google Calendar. Once you land there you are on their website, and their privacy policies apply rather than this one. Anything you enter with them, including insurance details, contact information and payment, is collected and handled by them. It is worth reading their policies before you book.

Your therapy records

If we work together, your clinical record is protected health information under HIPAA. It lives in my practice systems rather than on this website, and it is governed by my Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive during intake. That document, not this page, is the one that covers your treatment records.

Teens and younger clients

I see adolescents as well as adults. How consent works, what stays confidential and what gets shared with a parent or guardian are all covered during intake rather than here. This website is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.

This page describes how the website works. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace the paperwork you receive when starting therapy.
